Positive 10 Micron WXL Series High-Volume Wash Water Recovery Systems for Automatic Vehicle Washes Automatic Vehicle Washes typically demand a large volume of wash quality water be cleaned to a positive 10 micron depending on the wash pump requirements which the water must be recycled through. Western Water Products manufactures a series of economical wash water recovery system designed to meet these needs utilizing a higher grade 10 micron Cyclone Separator and a Dual Filtration Pack in a single floor mounted cabinet. Western Water Products also offers a number of options designed to provide pits, trenches and drains, control odor and control sediment buildup in the pits. The table below shows models up through 120 GPM. For larger sizes are available (consult WWP).

The WRC Series is available standard with a bank of nominal 10 Micron Cyclone Separator to minimize impact on the “down-stream” Cartridge Filters. A positive particulate size of 10-20 Micron filtration is accomplished through the use a set of Cartridge Filters rated at up to 100 GPM. Only one filter is utilized at a time, and when that filter becomes dirty or “fouled” a manual valve can be rotated 180 degrees to switch flow through the standby clean cartridge filter. Once pressure and flow is removed from the dirty filter, it can be removed for cleaning and reuse. It should be noted, because nominal 10 Micron Cyclones experience a large pressure drop to accomplish the primary filtration task, cleaned wash water must be deposited into a wash water holding tank and must be re-pressurized back to the wash on demand.
